Wolf Management Funds

I got an email from the DNRE today in response to a question I had asked wether or not deer license funds went into wolf management. They admitted that their wolf management money came from a pool of funds from the purchase of hunting licenses, guns, ammo & sporting goods. They declined to comment on how much money is spent on wolf management or deer management in the UP. I believe that as a sportsman I should have the right to know. As the wolf population grows I feel that it is costing the DNRE more and more money to manage them thus less money is being spent on deer. I am sure that all of this court action to get them delisted is not cheap. If the feds (the same guys who brought asian carp to the US) don't back off mabey it is time for the DNR to just let us yoopers delist the wolf. To me it sounds like they are defeating themselves. I mean the sale of deer licenses keep them employed. It is kind of hard to justify selling deer licenses in an area that has no quantity or quality of deer. How many wolf licenses have they sold so far?
